Hiring – Wedding Packages
Llantwit Major Town Council have worked hard over the last few years to refurbish the Town Hall and make it popular place to hold parties, weddings, family and group celebrations. Thus providing Llantwit Major with a venue to hold functions, in the heart of the community, at cost effective prices.
In 2018 the Town Council was successful in obtaining a licence to allow civic wedding ceremonies to take place in the Council Chamber, at the back of the Old School. The Council Chamber is licenced to hold a Civil Service and Room B, situated next to the Council Chamber, as a reception area for guests prior to the wedding for pre and post wedding drinks / light refreshments.
Less than 200 meters from the Old School is the Town Hall Building, an ideal location for the wedding reception/ evening entertainment, holding a maximum capacity of 140 seated at table or 240 dancing or closely seated. The Town Council
hold a music and alcohol licence for the venue. These figures include helpers and performers and the figures cannot be exceeded.
Please note there are steep steps up to the main hall. There is no disabled access. The Town Hall facilities include a kitchen and downstairs toilets.
There is a carpark situated directly outside the Town Hall which could have a marquee placed on it for outside caterers to provide food for the reception and easy access to the Main Hall.
Hire of Old School (south annexe and Council Chamber) and Town Hall for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Deposit required of £50 minimum and £120 bond in case of damages.

Hire of Town Hall for wedding reception only – £600
* Resident is defined as someone on the electoral role of Llantwit Major and contributing towards Council Tax. This must be one of the persons getting married.
Please note payment for hiring the Town Hall or Heritage Centre is only by Cash or Cheque. No Credit/Debit card facilities are available at the Town Hall Office.
