St Illtud’s Church was packed on Saturday, 1st of February to watch the fifth annual Town Mayor’s Youth Concert.
A council spokesperson said: “Our thanks go to Major Music and Alyson Jones who organised and provided all the backing music and equipment for the event for the town. Also, to Canon Edwin Counsel who kindly allowed us to use St Illtud’s Church as a venue which provided a memorable setting for the evening.
“The Llantwit Major Mayor, Councillor Gant, was raising money for his chosen charities of Woody’s Lodge, Valeplus and Llantwit Major Stroke Support Group. Over £700 was raised on the evening to support these worthy charities.
“A big thank you again to all the performers and helpers who once again put on a night of great entertainment for the town of Llantwit Major”.
